There’s no doubt about it, extraordinary lighting is what makes a room. You can talk about cabinets, furniture, or other types of decor in any room, but when people see impressive lights they’ve never seen before, their jaws drop to the floor.
Hand-made in our small town of Vermilion, Ohio, each detail of our custom I-Beam Industrial Light is painstakingly finished, resulting in a masterpiece that’s loaded with bold character. Simply put, we love unique things, and we don’t like things that look as though they came off an assembly line.
We know you don’t either.
Back in the day, they used to build things to last. But as you know, plastic has become the choice of manufacturing because it’s lighter and cheaper. And robots and assembly lines have been the preferred way of manufacturing because they’re faster and cheaper, and they make more profit.
We disagree on both things when it comes to lighting.
We prefer not to use plastic or mass-produced products; instead, we opt for metal and handcrafted items. If you agree, you’re going to love this light. Matter of fact, all of our clients do. They’ve hung them over kitchen islands, pool tables, bars, coffee shops, restaurants, conference room tables…you name it.
Almost all the pieces that go into the assembly of this stunning piece were custom-designed and created in our shop. We build unique lights, and this is simply one of our finest. With beautiful, raised lettering details, our custom-made trolley brackets allow the lights to move back and forth on our 3” cast metal wheels. The metal shades take any standard bulb up to 100W.
Hanging hardware is included, and we offer a variety of ways to mount it to your ceiling. We can include a few of our patented industrial ceiling canopies, a cast aluminum plate, or hooks to hang it from. We’ll contact you after you place the order to discuss your possibilities.
This particular listing is for the 60” size. It is also available in three (3) other sizes to fit just about any location. We can make it in 14”, 36”, 48", 60”, or 72” lengths. Our smaller, matching pendant, is a nice add-on in the same room or anywhere else. Custom sizes may be available on special request. Please keep in mind that this light has imperfections. We distress it, scratch it, take some paint off, etc. We do this purposely to create a character that is not found in the “overseas” lights you find on the shelves. This creates a further industrial "worn" look that can't be duplicated. If you want a distress-free light, this is not for you. No two are the same. :)
Once the light is ordered, we will send you an email with a “Buyer's Questionnaire” that asks about the finish, ceiling height, where it will be hung, etc.
