The Monticello Table Lamp

The Monticello draws its inspiration from the early table lights of the American past. Carefully created in our 1850s sandstone workshop, it boasts an attention to detail found only in pieces fashioned by hand, not fabricated by machine.

In making this piece, we set out to capture the spirit of the early nineteenth century when men and women would simply sit at a writing table and craft a hand-written letter under a dimly lit candle.

Made of cast brass with a wonderfully antiqued finish, we connected a vintage style Golden Bronze cloth-covered twisted wire featuring a beautiful replica plug that simply adds to the distinctiveness of this piece. The brass socket boasts a black distressed finish and holds a unique nostalgic Edison Loop Filament Bulb (included) which creates an aura of antiquity.

Built to order, The Monticello has a distinguishing presence that is a nod to its namesake. Placed upon a bedside table, office desk, side table, or fireplace mantle, it will illuminate not only its surroundings but also a bygone era of the simple life in your home.
